Secure Data Replicator, an international supplier of
business continuity solutions, released a new version of its
Secure Data Replicator Product. SDR Version 1
supports multiple features that are crucial to the backup process including
continuous offsite backup with two replication options, fast synchronization and
scheduled backup, advanced data archiving, secure encrypted backup process and
customized reporting, logging and many to one backup.
VirtenSys Ltd expanded its portfolio of
supported input/output adapters to include the Network Interface Cards based on
the Intel 82598 10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller.
The VirtenSys IOV Switches now virtualize the NICs based on the
Intel 82598 10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller among multiple physical servers
without any changes being made to the servers, operating system, NIC cards or
device drivers.
Aperture, an
Emerson
Network Power
brand, and a leading provider of software for managing the physical
infrastructure of data centers, released Aperture
VISTA 600, the latest version of its data center management
system. Aperture VISTA 600 includes a completely redesigned user interface,
featuring operational dashboards and an enhanced navigation scheme, and makes it
easier for data center management to understand the relationship between devices
and the underlying infrastructure.
Software Labs Inc., a developer of advanced data
migration and integration solutions, announced the availability of
xFusion Studio 4.0. The primary
enhancements to xFusion Studio 4.0 include the ability to use Microsoft SQL
Server as the intermediate data store, allowing for processing of huge amounts
of data. Other improvements include new data validation rules for data
integration accuracy and new data verification rules, allowing users to receive
an email notification when data is exchanged between systems.
MicroStrategy introduced
MicroStrategy 9. MicroStrategy 9, the company’s most
significant release in nearly a decade, is expected to be generally available in
the first quarter of 2009 and will include significant new products and
enhancements to its BI software platform. With this major release, MicroStrategy
delivers new technology and features designed to: extend enterprise BI with
enhancements for greater scalability, performance and efficiency; enable rapid
development and deployment of departmental BI applications; and provide a
seamless consolidation path from departmental BI to enterprise BI.
SPSS Inc. announced
SPSS Text Analysis for Surveys 3.0 software, which
saves time and money for commercial and government organizations extracting,
classifying and analyzing open-ended survey responses. Organizations have
valuable opportunities to collect Voice of the Customer feedback through varied
and diverse contact points, such as phone surveys, Web sites and face-to-face
interactions. The exact words customers convey in open-ended survey responses
offer hidden meaning to what they really think and feel. SPSS Text Analysis for
Surveys 3.0 is the ideal tool for categorizing these responses and quantifying
customer, employee or student satisfaction from survey questions.
Simba Technologies Inc. announced the release of
SimbaProvider OLAP SDK 4.2.
SimbaProvider OLAP SDK - an MDX 2005 Query Language compliant Software
Development Kit - builds OLE DB for OLAP and XML for Analysis data connectivity
that connects business intelligence and analytics products like Microsoft Excel
2007 and SAP Business Objects Voyager to data sources. SimbaProvider OLAP SDK
4.2 incorporates many notable enhancements, including a new Linux-based MDX
engine, an ODBO to XMLA bridge and support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.
Maximizer Software Inc. widened its applicability
across smartphone platforms by announcing that its
mobile CRM solution is now available for the HTC Google G1
smartphone. The touch-screen Google G1, which debuted in late Q3
2008 with T-Mobile, is powered by Google’s Android, an open source mobile device
platform and operating system. By accessing Maximizer Mobile CRM through a
wireless Web browser, sales and service professionals who use the HTC Google G1
may now view and update critical customer, sales and service information in
real-time, directly from the smartphone to the corporate CRM system. The
wireless application enables on-the-go management of customers, leads, sales
opportunities, service cases and document repositories.
Kroll Ontrack announced the availability of
Ontrack PowerControls 5.1, a new
tool compatible with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 that allows
IT administrators to easily and efficiently search and restore items from a
SharePoint database. Administrators familiar with Ontrack PowerControls software
for Exchange can now apply the same time and cost saving recovery capabilities
to this widely used enterprise content management application.
